Birth control pill and your hair

I had an issue a couple of years ago with a birth control pill; needless to say it caused a lot of medical issues! One of which was hair loss. I went off that pill and my body was slowly getting back to normal, but my hair didn't seem to be recovering. Talk about stress! Here it was Christmas, I have 3 kids that I of course want to provide a wonderful Christmas for, and to top it off, my husband Kevin had not worked for sometime due to a work disability. I thought I would find a job right away with all of my experience even in a bad job market. It took me five months to land a position that would offer a salary close to what I was making at my previous position. Stronger nails and thicker hair

After three months, there is a difference

Three months ago, I told you about my pitiful hair. It has never been thick and luxurious, but I was able to make it look fuller with hair product and styling. Scott Hurt, a university administrator has always had extremely fine hair. Q: When did you first begin using Viviscal?

Q: Why were you so open about sharing your hair loss experience with our blog readers?

Q: How do you normally wear your hair?

An episode of Dr. Oz changed Sheryl’s perspective about her hair loss condition and introduced her to her hair loss solution. Below Sheryl shares her entire story of how using Viviscal restored her sense of confidence with a healthier head of hair, shiny nails as well as fuller eyelashes and eyebrows.

Sheryl’s story: I saw the episode of Dr. Oz with Tabatha (I absolutely love her!) talking about Viviscal and she said point blank "that it really works!" Financially, I wasn’t in a position to really spend money on hair loss products and definitely not ones that didn’t show any results. I had been unemployed for over a year and just ended a temp job so I went back to being unemployed again! Which meant my budget was extremely tight. I took $199 from my emergency fund to buy the Viviscal extra strength. I knew if Tabatha and Dr. Oz were endorsing your product that it was the real deal. My hair had been thinning in the front top of my head, between the hair line and the crown for a long time and it started getting worse! I wear my hair short to medium length. Normally, I like it spiked up, but after the thinning began, I started wearing my hair combed down in an attempt to camouflage the fact that I was losing my hair with different hairstyles. Three months ago I started taking Viviscal. I was very excited to be able to try it because since being in my 30′s and after having 3 kids, I've definitely noticed thinning hair. I started out very committed but have to admit that by the 3rd month I wasn't as consistent. I've never been a very good pill taker and found that sometime's I forgot to take it. I think my hair overall grew about 2- 3 inches over 3 months, which seemed to be faster than average. I didn't find that the thinning spot near the front filled in any. But I did notice that less hair seemed to be falling out on a daily basis. I used to see handfuls when I took a shower but now it's just a few strands. Viviscal does say that it may take up to 6 months before you see complete results, with most users noticing a difference after just 3 to 4 months. So I think with prolonged use, in addition to faster hair growth and less hair falling out, I would see more hair fill in also.

After having Baby E...

...my hair had been falling out in clumps and generally looked awful. Within a week of taking two pills a day, my hair was already getting shinier and felt healthier. The weird thing about my hair is that it never, ever tangles when its short but the longer it gets, the more tangles it gets. So it's been 4 months...

...(wow has it flown by!) since I've had my beautiful baby girl Stormy and let me tell you how things have changed! Of course my life is crazy with baby, business (wedding season) home, and everything else we do on a daily basis that we take for granted until you have a baby and realize how easy you had it before. Now of all the changes that have happened in the last 16 weeks the one that has been the most shocking for me is my skin and hair which are super dry. Now my hair, "OH LAWD", my poor hair is having a break down. Now I know it's normal to lose hair after having a baby since you don't lose much while you're preggo. But I did take off 4-5 inches of hair. Now it's to my shoulders. The trial with Viviscal has come to an end. Booooooo!!! But no wait no Booooo since it went very well and I'm going back for more. Why you ask and does it REALLY work? Well, I'm going back cause it really does work and I'm so happy with the results.

Before starting I cut about 4-5 inches of hair. I was left with my hair just touching the top of my back. Now my hair is at my shoulders and feeling healthy, soft, and shiny.
